County commissioners have agreed to name the road going into Vrooman Park after an Eastpoint boy who was killed in a car accident last year. The board agreed on Tuesday to name the entryway to the park Billy Ray Langley Drive. Langley was 15 years old when he died last November after a car accident on South Bayshore Drive. Commissioners initially wanted to name a baseball field after him, but the three fields at Vrooman Park have already been named. The county now plans to hold an official dedication ceremony for the road and for the baseball fields at the park. The ceremony will be held during a day of baseball in April.
