The Franklin County Commission will meet tomorrow morning.
The board has a few items of interest on the agenda including a meeting with a representative from the Area Agency on Aging to discuss concerns about programs for local senior citizens. Earlier this month the county was alerted that many program for seniors are not being provided as they should be and commissioners voted to withhold county funding for those programs until they find out why.
The board will also meet with Friends of the Franklin County Public Library representative Joyce Estes tomorrow to discuss a letter of support for a new Eastpoint library and it will open bids for two projects including a boat ramp on the Ochlocknee Bay and for infrastructure at the Apalachicola Airport. Mary Ann Durrer from the Eastpoint medical clinic will also be on hand to update the board on activities at the clinic.
The county commission meetings are open to the public – tomorrow’s meeting begins at 9 AM at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
