Franklin County Commission meets this afternoon in Apalachicola

The Franklin County Commission meets this afternoon at 5 at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.

The board generally meets in the morning but does hold one meeting every three months in the afternoon so that people don’t have to miss work to attend the meetings.

There is not a long agenda for today’s meeting, though there will be an update on the work the BayAid is doing to help local seafood workers. The county will also discuss ongoing issues with the Boys and Girls club and the board will be updated on the progress of the shelling program which is expected to begin this Friday.

Again, today’s meeting begins at 5 – it is open to the public.
