Don’t forget to get out and vote today.

There are very few local races on the ballot though voters in District 4 will vote for a county commissioner.

The choice is between commission chairman Smokey Parrish and Apalachicola resident Charles Wilson.

District 2 voters will vote for a school board representative between incumbent David Hinton and Carrabelle resident Wilburn Ray Messer.

Voters in the second circuit will also choose a circuit judge today.

There are also Democratic and Republican primary elections for US Senator, US representative, governor and lieutenant governor, and attorney general.

Democrats will also vote in the primary for state Senator.

Polling stations are open until 7 o’clock this evening.

Absentee ballots are also available to voters. You can request an absentee ballot by phone or in person at the Supervisor of Elections office in Apalachicola.
