Weems Memorial Hospital has a new CEO.
The hospital announced Wednesday that Davie Lloyd has been selected to be the next Chief Executive Officer of the hospital beginning on July the 25th.
Ms. Lloyd takes over from Chuck Colvert who recently resigned so that he could
return to his family in Alabama.
There will be a period of time between Mr. Colvert’s departure and Ms. Lloyd’s arrival where the hospital will have an interim administrator.
Geri Forbes from Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, will provide additional support and direction during the transition.
Davie Lloyd comes to Weems Memorial Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, a 52-bed not-for-profit county hospital.
She worked there for about 18 months before resigning in March.
During her tenure there Ms. Lloyd helped plan and develop an 8,000 square foot
medical office building and was very active in recruiting new physicians to the hospital.
That experience will come in handy as Weems also intends to construct a new hospital in the near future.
