Executive Director

John C. Solomon
From the President
The Board of Directors are happy to announce that the search for a new executive director has been successfully concluded.  John C. Solomon was selected from an excellent pool of candidates.  John is a resident of the Apalachicola Bay Area and resides in Eastpoint with his wife, Penny and daughter, Reagen.  John has enjoyed a long career with the Franklin County Sheriff's Department prior to accepting the Executive Director position.  In addition to his employment with the Sheriff's Department, John has served our county through volunteer work with numerous activities, foundations and boards. John is currently serving as the President of the Florida Seafood Festival Board and the Weems Healthcare Foundation Board.  John brings to the position experience in marketing, information technology, social media and non-profit organization management.  John and his wife, Penny, also own two successful small businesses, Alle Cat Charters and PJ's Cleaning Service.  John is a very committed, outgoing and motivated individual.  The board believes John will serve the chamber, its members and our communities very well.   We look forward to working closely with John as he takes on the responsibilities of the executive director and look forward to the continued success of the Apalachicola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and our members.
