Don't forget to register to vote in the November election

There’s a little over a month before the general election, but the last day to register to vote is coming up soon.

The general election will be held on November the 4th and there will be some important local issues on the ballot.

Local voters will decide whether to change the Superintendent of Schools from an elected position to a hired position.

They will also decide whether to double the local tourist development tax.

District 2 voters will also select a county commissioner in November and there are some important statewide elections including a governor’s race and congressional race.

If you haven’t yet registered to vote you need to do so soon – voter registration ends on October the 6th for the November 4th election.

Registering is easy, just stop by the elections office in Apalachicola or Carrabelle or fill out the on-line voter registration form at Votefranklin.com.
