Gulf County Sheriff's Department arrests five on drug charges

The Gulf County Sheriff Department on Friday arrested five people in Wewahitchka on drug charges.

Investigators and Deputies executed two search warrants at a home on West River Road and 139 Hill Circle.

The search warrants were the culmination of investigations conducted by the Gulf County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit.

Charges ranged from sale of crack cocaine within 1000 feet of a church to possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Officers also discovered over 7000 dollars in currency.

The Gulf County Sheriff’s Office will file for forfeiture of the confiscated money.
