Franklin county Commissioners have
named two new members to the County Planning and Zoning Board.
The board
agreed last week to name T J Ward and Joseph Strahan to fill the vacant Seafood
Worker and Realtor seats.
The
appointments mean that the P and Z will once again have a quorum and hopefully
begin to hold regular meetings.
The Planning
and zoning board has 9 members; a number of those seats require people with a
particular skill set.
At least one
member has to be from the construction industry; there are also seats for
seafood workers, seafood dealers, and even foresters.
There are
still some open seats on the board, so if you are interested in serving on the
P and Z, you can get more information about the requirements by contacting
County Coordinator Michael Moron at 653-9783.
