Franklin County Commissioners are now seeking
bids for needed repairs at the Carrabelle beach Roadside Park.
The bathrooms at the roadside park at
the beach have fallen into disrepair and commissioners say repairing the
bathrooms is now a matter of public safety.
Much of the park at Carrabelle beach
was built in the 1950’s and age and seawater are taking their toll.
A recent survey by an architect found
that the restrooms need new roofs as well as a new electrical panel and
lighting system, neither of which are working at this time.
The County is now seeking bids from
companies interested in doing the work.
Interested companies should contact
County Coordinator Michael Moron for more information.
The project will be funded from money
from the Franklin county Tourist Development Council.
