Downtown Carrabelle is getting a little facelift this week.
The Sign Creations mural art team is in town this week to complete the Carrabelle Redebelopment Agency Mural Project at 108 SE AVE A in downtown Carrabelle.
The project was awarded and commissioned on July 1st.
Once finished the wall pelicans and seagulls and the Tilly Miller Bridge over the Carrabelle River.
It will be sprayed with a protective UV clear finish that will extend the life of the mural.
The Sign Creations mural art team has produced public art murals for numerous cities including Atlanta, Danville, Illinois, Suwanee, Georgia.
Since the Carrabelle Redevelopment Agency was restructured in 2014, its members have worked diligently to place murals in the city, but has had difficulty finding a suitable wall with a property owner agreeable to allow a mural.
The group is also working on a second mural that will go on a business wall that has been donated by the owner.
