History Museum seeks Carrabelle memorabilia


The Carrabelle History Museum is looking for memorabilia for it's exhibit on the old steam powered cargo boat, the
S S TARPON - that sank off Panama City in 1937. They already have lots of old newspaper 
articles-- but If you think you might have some photos or documents of the boat from your father or your grandparents - 
please poke around in your scrapbooks this weekend and if you turn up anything that you could LEND OR DONATE
OR JUST LET THE MUSEUM PHOTO COPY for the exhibit, please call (850) 524-1153

The exhibit opening soon - on Saturday Sept 3 from 7-9 PM at the Carrabelle HIstory Museum at
106 Ave B behind the BP station in Carrabelle.  Many of the descendants of the crew who survived the ship wreck
will be at the opening. 
 The exhibit will be up thru Thanksgiving, and the museum is open on Fridays and Saturday or by appointment.
