The Franklin County Commission will meet tomorrow morning in
Apalachicola but the meeting may be more notable for what is not happening.
The board has had to postpone plans to open bids from
companies applying to be the Fixed Base Operator at the Franklin County
Airport.
The deadline for getting the bids to the county was
inadvertently set for a holiday when the mail wasn’t running, so the bid
opening has been postponed to make sure all of the bids are in.
The board has also postponed plans to interview replacements
for the county administrator’s position.
The commission had planned to interview the 7 applicants on
Tuesday afternoon, but decided last week to postpone that because one of the
commissioners is becoming a grandparent and might not be at the meeting.
What is still on the agenda is the consideration of recent
Planning and zoning board recommendations and the reports from the county’s
various supervisors.
If you would like to attend Tuesday’s meeting it begins at 9
AM at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
