Routine Maintenance on Area Bridges
Chipley- Routine bridge maintenance work will take place on bridges in Franklin and Gulf counties Monday, June 1 through Wednesday, June 3. Lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on the following structures as crews clean and seal bridge joints.
· Monday, June 1, alternating lane closures will occur on the U.S. 98 Highland View Bridge over the Intercostal Canal in Gulf County.
· Tuesday, June 2, alternating lane closures will occur on the U.S. 98 Carrabelle River Bridge in Franklin County.
· Wednesday, June 3 alternating lane closures will occur on the U.S. 98 Ochlockonee Bay Bridge in Franklin County.
Routine inspections are one tool the department uses to provide a safe transportation system, an example of the dedication to making travel in Florida safer and more efficient.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to pay attention to the speed limit when traveling.
