Franklin County unemployment jumped a full percent between February and March

Franklin County unemployment jumped a full percent between February and March.
The local unemployment rate was 4.1 percent in March, up from 3.1 percent in February.
186 people were looking for work in Franklin County in March, 50 more than the month before.

And even with the increase, Franklin County had one of the lower unemployment rates in Florida.
Statewide unemployment was 4.3 percent, only 12 of Florida's 67 counties had lower unemployment rates than Franklin County.
Gulf County's unemployment jumped from 3.7 percent in February to 5.1 percent in March. percent.
There w ere 292 people looking for work in Gulf County in March, up from 210 the month before.
Wakulla County's unemployment rate was 3.9 percent in March; Liberty County unemployment was 4.8 percent.
