FDOT Host meeting for improvements to US 98 / S.R. 300 Intersection

Chipley-  The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a Public Information Meeting concerning proposed improvements at the intersection of SR 30 (US 98) and SR 300. The meeting is Thursday, September 9, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. (EST), at the St. George Island Fire Station, 324 East Pine Avenue, St. George Island, FL 32328. Currently, FDOT plans to improve the intersection of State Road 30 at State Road 300 by adding left turn lanes to the northbound, eastbound, and westbound approaches of the intersection. Additionally, there will be a dedicated right turn lane on the eastbound approach of the intersection .Other improvements include minor drainage construction and reconstruction of the sidewalk. This project will not require right-of-way.

This meeting will provide participants an opportunity to preview proposed design plans, ask questions, and/or submit comments concerning the upcoming project. Maps, drawings, and other information will be on display. There will be no formal presentation. FDOT representatives will be available to answer questions, receive comments, and explain proposed improvements.
