SBA loan deadline coming up soon


The deadline to apply for an SBA loan because of last year’s heavy rains is just around the corner.
Local groups and businesses that suffered some type of damage during the heavy rains that occurred between November the 11th and December 23rd last year have until December the 6th to apply for a Federal economic injury disaster loan through the Small Business Administration.
The loans are available in 15 counties including Franklin, Wakulla, Gulf and Liberty counties.
The loans can be for up to $2 million with terms up to 30 years.
Interest rates are 4 percent for businesses and 3 percent for non-profit organizations.
