Franklin County school district to consider 4 day school week

The Franklin County School Board will hold a workshop next week to talk about moving the local school district to a 4 day school week.
A four day school week is one way the district is looking to save money especially in light of proposed cuts in state funding for schools.
The workshop will allow the school board to consider any potential savings a 4 day work-week could bring, and also look at how other school districts have implemented a four-day week.
Parents of current students have already been asked whether they would agree with the move.
A survey was sent to parents on the issue earlier this week.
The board is expecting a crowd to attend the workshop so they are holding it in the cafeteria at the Franklin County School instead of at their regular meeting space
The workshop will be held next Wednesday, April the 20th at 5:30.
