Eastpoint man arrested on drug and weapon charges

An Eastpoint man is facing numerous drug charges after police found over a half pound of marijuana in his home.

Members of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit arrested Carlton Lucius Goodson last Friday after serving a search warrant on his home on Bear Creek Road. During the search police found 9 firearms, approximately 272 grams of suspected Marijuana, and over 31 thousand dollars in cash.

Mr. Goodson was charged with three counts of sale of a controlled substance, possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. He also faces gun charges for possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Police say more charges are pending further investigation.
