56 year old Jimmy Wayne Lashley and his wife, 48 year old Betty Louise Lashley were arrested after police served a search warrant on their home on 22nd Avenue in Apalachicola. Police say the search warrant was issued after a lengthy investigation of suspected drug sales from the home. During the search officers discovered 56 grams of suspected Marijuana, as well as prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Mister Lashley is now facing four counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a public housing facility, as well as possession of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute. Miss Lashley was charged with two counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a public housing facility.
A third person, 41 year old James Charles Taunton of Apalachicola was found in the home at the time the search warrant was served and was also arrested on 1 count of possession of marijuana.
