The Unified Area Command continues to work closely together with the Responsible Party and Federal, State, local and tribal partners in anticipating requirements, identifying response options, and rapidly providing response support.
The following is a synopsis of our daily response efforts:
Total active response vessels: more than 1400
Containment boom deployed: nearly 1.83 million feet
Containment boom available: nearly 390,000 feet
Sorbent boom deployed: more than 1.83 million feet
Sorbent boom available: more than 1.27 million feet
Total boom deployed: more than 3.66 million feet (regular plus sorbent boom)
Total boom available: more than 1.66 million feet (regular plus sorbent boom)
Oily water recovered: more than 12.1 million gallons
Surface dispersant used: more than 720,000 gallons
Subsea dispersant used: more than 180,000 gallons
Total dispersant used: nearly 910,000 gallons
Dispersant available: more than 450,000 gallons
Overall personnel responding: more than 20,000
