To see today's video from Carrabelle click HERE.

May 21 Update - The latest National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) 72-hour forecast predicts continued SE and ESE winds through the weekend, moving oil further from the Franklin County shoreline. Franklin County beaches are open and area fishing has not been affected. Current federal fishing closures are well offshore and all State of Florida waters remain open to commercial and recreational fishing.

Today's Beach Report finds us in Carrabelle, highly regarded for its secluded beaches and access to river, nearshore and offshore fishing. Carrabelle is also home to the annual Big Bend Saltwater Fishing Classic scheduled for June 18-20.

If you are planning a trip to Franklin County and are concerned about any potential impact from the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, tourism officials encourage you to check with local lodging providers in order to get the most up-to-date information. To make it easy, we’re providing you a direct link HERE to all of Franklin County’s accommodations.
