Franklin County Beach & Seafood Report - May 30, 2010

 
 

May 30 Update - Enjoy the sun, surf and seafood this weekend in Franklin County. No oil-related impacts have been verified or are projected throughout NOAA's 72-hour trajectory period. 
 
Today's daily beach report takes us to the Lanark Beach area east of Carrabelle. The shallow seagrass beds that line St. George Sound near the Lanark area provide valuable habitat for many of the county's abundant fish species including trout, redfish, flounder, mullet and even tarpon.
