Franklin County Commission meets Tuesday in Apalachicola

Franklin County commissioners will meet tomorrow morning in Apalachicola.

The board has a relatively full agenda that will once again include discussions about the repairs needed at the Apalachicola Health Department building. That building is currently unoccupied because of a mold infestation and will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to repair.

The county commission will also hear from Helen Spohrer regarding the County’s tourist development council and meet with Debra Moore about the Guardian Ad Litem Program. The Guardian ad Litem program allows volunteers to represent local children in non-criminal court cases like divorces.

The board will also open bids on Tuesday from companies interested in building an extension for airport road in Apalachicola.

County Commission meetings are open to the public – tomorrow’s begins at 9 AM at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
