Franklin’s Promise Coalition kicks off summer concert series this weekend

The Franklin’s Promise Coalition will sponsor the first of three concerts this weekend as part of its “Historic Apalachicola SUMMER Concert Series.” This weekend’s concert will feature the popular band Crooked Shooz out of Tallahassee.

The concert will be held on Saturday evening beginning at 6 at Riverfront Park on Water Street in Apalachicola.

The concert is free, but a cash donation gets you a better seat, and any money raised through this weekend’s event will benefit Bay Aid Franklin, a group dedicated to helping local seafood workers.

Similar concerts will also be held on the July 4th weekend and the Labor day weekend to raise money for the Apalachicola Volunteer Fire Department and the Franklin’s Promise Coalition and the Franklin County Food Pantry.

Franklin’s Promise Coalition is a non-profit group so donations are tax deductible. Checks can be made out to Franklin’s Promise Coalition.
