Get up early and climb the SGI lighthouse for free on Saturday

Saturday is National Lighthouse Day and to commemorate the event the Cape St. George Light let the first 20 visitors to the lighthouse climb for free.

That will save those early birds 5 dollars each.

National Lighthouse Day commemorates the passage of an act of Congress on
August 7, 1789 to establish and support lighthouses, beacons, buoys and
public piers.

The Cape St. George Light will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
And if you really want to do National lighthouse day up right, you can try to climb all of our local lighthouses on Saturday which also includes the Crooked River Lighthouse near Carrabelle, the St. Marks Lighthouse, and the Cape San Blas Lighthouse.
