The U.S. Small Business Administration has issued close to 700 applications across Florida to assist businesses in their recovery from the BP Oil Spill. 229 applications have been completed/returned and $4.6Million has been approved to assist Florida businesses.
Here are the numbers for your counties:
· Bay County: 107 issued, 33 returned, $845,600 approved· Gulf County: 34 issued, 9 returned, $5,000 approved
· Franklin County: 37 issued, 11 returned, $76,300 approved
· Wakulla County: 4 issues, 2 returned
Our Business Assistance Centers are open 8 to 5, Monday-Friday:
· Bay County: Bay County Fairgrounds, Corner of Hwy 98 and Sherman Avenue, Panama City· Gulf County: Economic Development Council Building, 406 Marina Drive, Port St. Joe
· Franklin County: Apalachicola Bay Chamber Building, 122 Commerce Street, Apalachicola
· Wakulla County: Wakulla Agricultural Center, 84 Cedar Avenue, Crawfordville
Any small businesses (charter boats, fishing boat captains, packers, real estate brokers, tourist rentals, restaurants, etc.) that has been affected is encouraged to speak with one of the representatives at the Centers.
