Saturday is the last day to early vote
Tomorrow is the last day to early vote in Franklin County. Registered voters can early vote today and tomorrow from 8:30 to 4:30 at the Election offices at 47 Avenue F in Apalachicola and at the county annex 1647 Highway 98 East in Carrabelle.
If you don’t get a chance to early vote – the regular voting day is next Tuesday, November the 2nd.
Polling stations will be open on that day from 7 AM till 7 PM. There is only one local race in this election, that’s for the County Commission District 2 seat currently held by Cheryl Sanders.
She is facing Republican Billy Snyder and Independent Richard Sands in that race.
Florida voters, however, will choose a US Senator, a U.S. Representative, Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Chief Financial Officer, and Commissioner of Agriculture.
Local voters will also choose their state representatives and there are a number of ballot initiatives to be decided – so it is an important election.
If you would like to look at a sample ballot before voting, check out the supervisor of elections webpage at www.votefranklin.com
Remember, if you do early vote – make sure to bring your driver’s license.
