Boat Parade of Lights-Sat. Dec. 11th!

Life in Carrabelle revolves around the water---so does the Holidays!

It's almost time for the 18th Annual Boat Parade of Lights and Holiday on the Harbor on the beautiful Carrabelle Riverfront.  The famous nautical parade is Saturday, Dec. 11th at 7 p.m., but the clock is ticking for entrants to conjure their best holiday ideas and start stringing lights on the rigging.  This year's event includes Santa, food,  vendors, carolers and fireworks.  Great event for the whole family!

Join the fun and enter your boat in this community marine event. Parade your vessel  in beautiful lights and your festive holiday spirit. Vessels of all sizes - kayaks, dinghies, oyster boats, fishing vessels, sailboats, private yachts and charter boats - are welcome.

You can register your boat online or download a copy of the boat registration and  information sheet.  A Captains' Meeting will take place Friday, December 10th at 7 pm at We Be Cafe located at the Moorings Marina or if you cannot make the Captain's Meeting on Friday, you can stop by the Chamber office on Saturday to get you boat number and information.

If you are not able to join in the boat parade, bring your family and friends to enjoy in the festivities and holiday celebration.  Make it a weekend getaway on the Coast and enjoy the great southern hospitality.  Carrabelle has an excellent selection of accomodations, from a Key West Style B & B, the Moorings Marina hotel, the Franklin Inn or Georgian Inn, Sandy Beach Properties, St. James Bay Condos, Harbor Point Vacation Rentals, RV Parks or many other to choose from.  Visit www.carrabelle.org for more information.

Carrabelle offers many activities to enjoy on your visit from fishing, kayaking or hiking in Tates Hell State Forest, climbing the Crooked River Lighthouse, visiting Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum or Carrabelle Historical Museum, playing golf at the beautiful Audubon Signature   St. James Bay Golf Course or just taking a walk on pristine Carrabelle Beach.
The event is sponsored by the Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce, the City of Carrabelle and the Franklin County Tourist Development Council.
