SEAHAWK SCOOP
Thursday, January 27, 2011

“The future belongs to the educated.”     - Milken Family Foundation

Celebrate Literacy Week
January 24th – 28th
Through the enjoyment of literature!

In a Story Book
At night when sunshine goes away,
And it's too dark for me to play,
I like to come inside, and look
For new friends in a story book.

**Fundraiser Dinner for Stephanie Howze- FCS Middle School Teacher:

Since the fundraiser will be Friday, Jan. 28th, during the school day,
staff members & students may make a monetary donation in lieu of purchasing a dinner.
Turn your donations in to Ms. Browning in the front office.
P.S.-  Thanks to all who donated items/money to be used at the fundraiser tomorrow, Jan. 28th!

**PARENTS/STAFF:  We are still in the flu season.  This is an obvious fact if you note the number of children & staff out sick on any given day.  The pressure on schools to keep attendance high & the pressure on parents to arrange at-home care, often leads to an environment where sick children come to school.
The best way to prevent the spread of the flu is for parents to keep children at home if they have a fever or other flu symptoms.                                         - George Oehlert, Principal
