Boil Water Notice in Gulf County

PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE

DATE:         January 11, 2011

TO:             All Water Customers in White City, on County Road 382 and Hwy 71 between White City and CR 382

Due to a problem in the water lines that supply your drinking water, there is a concern for possible contamination.  Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled.  A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.  As an alternative bottled water may used for these purposes.

When the lines have been repaired and flushed, bacteriological samples of the water will be collected and sent to the laboratory.  This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the bacteriological sample shows the water is safe to drink.

If you have any questions you may contact Glenn Davis at the Water Department Office at 229-6395 or John Grantland at the City of Port St. Joe Public Works Office at 229-8247.
