'FIRE, FLOODS AND HEAVY METAL: RESTORATION OF WADING BIRD POPULATIONS IN THE EVERGLADES' TOPIC OF FEB. 10 LECTURE AT FSU COASTAL & MARINE LAB
At 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, the Florida State University Coastal and Marine Lab will host a free, public lecture on efforts to restore wading bird populations in the Everglades. The speaker will be University of Florida professor Peter Frederick, a faculty member in UF's Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation who specializes in the ecology and conservation of wetlands, and particularly of wetland vertebrates.
Light refreshments will be served following the lecture, which is a part of the FSU Coastal and Marine Lab's ongoing Conservation Lecture Series.
Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Second Harvest of the Big Bend.
