Wakulla County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a case in which a truck was set afire in the Apalachicola National Forest.
The incident happened on Saturday.
Police were brought in after a call from witnesses who reported a burning vehicle on Lawhon Mill Road.
The witnesses were walking in the woods when they observed the fire and a man pouring what appeared to be gasoline from a container on the burning truck.
The fire was extinguished by Wakulla Firefighters.
Officials say they have interviewed the owner of the truck and the case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division.
