BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Text Box: Carter G. Woodson
Woodson was a Harvard doctorate historian.
He first founded an organization called the
Association for the study of Negro Life
and History, which has been renamed the Association
for the Study of Afro-American Life and History.
He founded Negro History week in 1926,
which later became Black History Month.

originated with Carter G. Woodson in  1926  (not 1962).”
