Alabama man arrested after leading cops on chase through Franklin and Wakulla counties

An Alabama man is sitting in the Wakulla County jail today after leading police on a high speed chase Saturday morning.

The chase began after Trooper Thomas Stone tried to stop a Toyota pickup truck he saw speeding through Lanark Village.

The truck was driven by 25 year old Christopher Wayne Lynn of Logan, Alabama.

Mister Lynn decided not to stop and instead speeded west towards Wakulla County on U.S. 319 with officer Stone right behind him.

Somewhere along the way, lynn decided to take a dirt road which didn’t really lead anywhere so he turned his truck around and hit trooper Stone's patrol car as he headed back to 319.

He made it to just North of Sopchoppy before he was spotted by a second Trooper, Michael Simmons, but he collided with Simmon's vehicle too, disabling it.

Lynn again fled the scene; this time he made it to Medart before he was spotted in a parking lot by Deputy Sean Wheeler from the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office.

Mister Lynn was arrested in the parking lot without any trouble.

Mister Lynn and Trooper Simmons were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Mister Lynn was then booked into the Wakulla County Jail for numerous felony and misdemeanor charges, including a warrant from Alabama for armed robbery with a firearm.
