“Tailgating With a Purpose” Goes In the Win Column

Tallahassee, FL – The first ever Tailgating With a Purpose was a fundraising victory! The event raised more than $6500 net revenue to support Covenant Hospice’s unfunded and underfunded programs in Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor and Wakulla counties.

On August 27, approximately 250 guests enjoyed an evening of live music by Sarah Mac Band and Wilson Dean Band, as well as tailgate games for the entire family. Hamburgers and hot dogs were grilled by Don Gibson and Tri-Eagles sales provided beer. The silent auction featured a variety of items, including sports-themed memorabilia.

“Covenant Hospice is excited to help our guests gear up for football season with Tailgating With a Purpose,” said Lydia Clare Brooks, Development Manager. “We are so appreciative of the support from our community – sponsors, donors, guests, and volunteers. That support allows us to fulfill our mission to provide comprehensive, compassionate care regardless of ability to pay.”

Covenant Hospice is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their families. For more information, call (850) 701-0137.
