Wild and Scenic film festival starts tonight at St. James Bay

The 3rd annual Wild and Scenic Film festival begins tonight at the St. James Bay Golf resort.

The two day festival, which is considered the largest environmental film festival, will feature 11 films focused on environmental issues worldwide.

A number of the films, including one about the Chattahoochee River and another about creating a sustainable community grocery in Red Bay, focus on issues specific to Florida.

The festival is free – it begins tonight at 6 with a reception at St. James Bay.

The films will begin at 7.

The festival will continue on Saturday night at the same times.

After this weekend the festival will travel to the Dixie Theatre in Apalachicola on September the 2nd and 3rd.

The Wild and Scenic Film festival is sponsored every year by the Apalachicola Riverkeeper.

You can get more information about the group and the film festival on-line at apalachicolaRiverkeeper.org.
