RE:                  Flags at Half-Staff

Specialist Christophe J. Marquis died on September 4, 2011, in Landstuhl, Germany, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  Specialist Christophe J. Marquis was assigned to 1^st Battalion, 5^th Infantry Regiment, 1^st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25^th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

By virtue of the power and authority vested in me by 4 U.S.C. § 7(m), as amended on June 29, 2007, and the laws and Constitution of the State of Florida, I do hereby proclaim and direct as follows:

1.      All State and National flags shall be flown at half-staff at the County Courthouse of Hillsborough County, Florida, and the City Hall of Tampa, Florida, on January 25, 2012, in honor of Specialist Christophe J. Marquis.

2. The State and National flags at the Capitol in Tallahassee, Florida shall also be flown at half-staff on January 25, 2012, in honor of Specialist Christophe J. Marquis.
