6 escape Panacea home fire
A Panacea home was destroyed in a fire on Sunday but luckily no one was injured in the blaze.
The manufactured home on Lake Avenue in Panacea was destroyed caught fire just after 11 PM Sunday when fire broke out from a wood burning stove.
The Wakulla County sheriff’s office said flames from the stove went into the ceiling.
There were 6 people in the home at the time including three children.
All of them managed to escape the home safely.
The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the victims.
The home was destroyed in the blaze.
It was valued at $50,000.
Responding to the blaze was Wakulla County and volunteer firefighters from Apalachee Bay, Crawfordville, Wakulla Station, Ochlockonee Bay, Panacea and Sopchoppy.
