Franklin County commissioners will have a busy morning
tomorrow.
The commission will meet in Apalachicola with a relatively
full agenda that includes a discussion with Franklin County Tax Collector James
Harris about security at the courthouse annex in Carrabelle.
The board will also hear from Helen Spohrer about a BP
buy-back program and get an update from Tourist Development Council
representative Curt Blair about TDC expenditures.
Cindy Drapel will update the board about activities at Weems
Memorial Hospital and St. George Island fire chief Jay Abbott will update the
board about emergency communications in the county.
Lesiie Palmer, the Director of the Florida Division of
Aquaculture, will also be at the meeting to discuss two issues the Board raised
at their last Board meeting- eliminating the harvesting seasons, and improving
the shell-planting program.
The commission will also open bids on Tuesday for a bridge
project for Highway 67.
County commission meetings are open to the public so if you
would like to attend tomorrow’s meeting it begins at 9 AM at the Franklin
County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
