NORTHWEST REGION
ESCAMBIA COUNTY
Lt. Dan Hahr was
conducting enhanced patrol in the Perdido River Wildlife Management Area
when he observed four bags of household garbage. Upon inspection of the
bags, Lieutenant Hahr located documents inside that
identified a young couple who lived nearby. After locating the subjects,
they admitted to dumping the garbage in the management area a few days
earlier. The male subject was charged with littering (over 15 pounds,
less than 500 pounds), and both returned to
the site to remove the garbage.
SANTA ROSA COUNTY
Officer Royce Johnson
responded to a complaint of dogs running deer in the still hunt area of

convicted felon. Additionally, the hunter did not have the required
quota permits or licenses and possessed a suspended driver’s license.
Officer Johnson arrested the man and booked him into the
Santa Rosa County Jail for possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
The subject was cited for failure to possess the required quota permits
and licenses and for driving with a suspended driver’s license.

officer concluded an investigation and cited a hunter for allowing his
dog to pursue deer on private property near the Blackwater Wildlife
Management Area.
A Santa Rosa County FWC
officer responded to a complaint of hunter responsibility and
dog trespass on private property. The property owners observed two dogs
chasing deer on their property and caught the dogs.
Two hunters were charged with allowing dogs to pursue deer on private
property without the landowner's permission.

landowner caught one of the dogs and obtained information of the dog’s
owner from the collar. The owner of the dog will
be interviewed at a later day. Charges are pending.
Lt. Keith Clark received a
call from a U.S. Customs marine boat crew regarding a vessel stop on a
1978 25‑foot Catalina sailboat. The vessel was stopped approximately

Customs vessel escorted the sailboat to the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)
Destin Station and requested FWC assistance. Officer Andy Maltais
