FWC plans to meet in Franklin County in November

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission doesn’t seem to be able to get enough of Franklin county.

The FWC wants to meet in Franklin County in November.

If it does meet here it will be the third meeting in 3 years which is good for the local businesses because a lot of people from around the state attend the two day meetings.

In the past the FWC has met at the Apalachicola Community center and at the Franklin county courthouse Annex.

County Planner Alan Pierce said there may be a scheduling issue with the courts in November, but commissioner Cheryl Sanders said she would like to see the repairs to the Armory finished so the FWC can meet there.

The county is currently working to repair the armory roof and electrical system and to install an air conditioning system.
