Governor Scott Appoints 12 to
Regional Planning Councils

Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced four reappointments and eight appointments to four regional planning councils throughout the state.

Apalachee Regional Planning Council, Region Two

Michael L. Hammond, 37, of White City, is a jail warden in Gulf County. He is appointed for a vacancy created by the resignation of Benjamin F. Ranie for a term beginning January 27, 2012, and ending October 1, 2013.

Kelly A. Layman, 41, of Tallahassee, is the executive director of communications for the Florida Board of Governors. She succeeds Kevin L. Stanfield and is appointed for a term beginning January 27, 2012, and ending October 1, 2013.

Central Florida Regional Planning Council, Region Seven

Dr. Marshall R. Goodman, 54, of Lakeland, is a professor at the University of South Florida Polytechnic. He is reappointed for a term beginning January 27, 2012, and ending October 1, 2013.

Andy Tuck, 41, of Sebring, is a Highlands County School Board member. He is reappointed for a term beginning January 27, 2012, and ending October 1, 2012.

Chester “Chet” Huddleston, 29, of Wauchula, is a biological sciences technician with United States Department of Agriculture Wildlife Services. He succeeds Thomas Macias and is appointed for a term beginning January 27, 2012, and ending October 1, 2013. 

Elvie O. Posey, 65, of Okeechobee, is a retired dairy farm owner. He succeeds William S. Keene and is appointed for a term beginning January 27, 2012 and ending October 1, 2013.
