United Way fund-raising drive coming to an end

The United Way of the Big Bend is holding its annual fund-raising campaign but it will end on February the 29th so if you would like to make a donation to the cause you need to do so soon.

The United Way provides over $30,000 to programs in Franklin County From children’s programs, food for the hungry, health services for end of the life care, help for the homeless, legal services for domestic abuse, and after school help for children in need.

A volunteer panel made up of people from Franklin County makes the decisions on where these dollars are allocated.

The United Way hopes that more Franklin County businesses will kick in and encourage their employees to donate.
