Evacuation Notice
Franklin County Board of County Commissioners has issued an EVACUATION NOTICE for:
Residents living along the New River, Crooked River and Carrabelle River.
With the amount of rainfall from Tropical Storm Debby; we have been advised that the water
from the creeks and streams will be draining into our rivers. Because of this fact the National
Weather Service has no way of monitoring just how quickly the water will be rising or exactly
how much we might expect is the reason for this evacuation. Just because you do not have
flooding now it is coming. Please take all necessary precautions!

If you feel you need help evacuating at this time because you already have flooding issues call
911.
There are sandbags located at the old field house next to the
Carrabelle City Municipal Complex.
SAFETY MESSAGE... PLEASE TAKE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT
LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT DRIVE CARS THROUGH FLOODED AREAS. IF YOU SEE
FLOOD WATERS...REMEMBER TO TURN AROUND AND DO NOT DROWN.
