The Florida Forest Service has decided to close Tate’s Hell State Forest through Friday June 29th.  An assessment we be done later this week to re-open or partially re-open. This would include all state forest recreational areas.   We are flagging deep water areas on the roads we can access and removing down trees as we come across them.  Although THSF suffered very little wind damage, it is the most water it has seen in its 18 year history.  The roads we all used as an unofficial US 98 bypass during Hurricane Dennis in 2005 and Ivan 1995 are submerged. We will keep you posted on the re-opening and please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you. Ken Kenneth B.
