District 3 county
commission candidate Wilmer Deason has withdrawn from commission race which
means Noah Lockley will serve on the commission for a third term.
Deason, a republican, made the announcement last
week citing health and personal reasons.
Commissioner Lockley, a democrat, won his primary
race against Valentina Webb on August 14th – he was slated to face
Mister Deason in the November general election.
That leaves two local county commission races to be
decided in November.
District 1 voters will choose between sitting
commission chairman Pinki Jackel and Tony Shiver.
District 5 voters will choose between William
Massey and Hank Garrett.
