Carrabelle Speed Festival!!
Saturday—October 27th


Carrabelle Speed Festival
This event will be held at the Carrabelle-Thompson airport in CarrabelleFL on October 27th, 2012 . It will take place on an open runway giving competitors a full half mile of open throttle acceleration! What makes this event truly special is that participants will be allowed to compete against each other head to head in a safe environment, without being limited to the standard 1/8 or 1/4 mile distance.. Not only will this event provide a surreal experience of driving down an active runway at adrenaline pumping speeds. There will also be a live DJ spinning tracks all day long as well as food vendors to feed you when you’re ready for a break or a quick snack.  Visit www.wannagofast.com for more information.

Harry’s Bar is celebrating Halloween with a party!  Bring a covered dish and enjoy music by Debby Jordan.  Music starts at 8: PM Saturday night  and dining will start at 8:30 PM.  Wear your scariest costume and join the fun!

HALLOWEEN MONSTER BASH – 2012

Look no further than Chillas Hall in Lanark Village for the spookiest and goofiest Halloween Monster Bash in the county starting at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.  Entertainment will be by Greg K. and Krew with killer dance tunes to bogey the night away and hair-raising spoofs that will make you howl with laughter.  A best-costume contest will be held during the witching hour, so start preparing your most frightening or disgustingly humorous costumes now.  There will be creepy decorations and goodies that will make you quiver in your boots.  A shocking donation of $5 will be requested at the door.  Please bring some monster munchies to share and your favorite bone-chilling beverage.  All you adult trick-or-treaters make your Halloween plans now for October 27th at Chillas Hall to enjoy a thrilling evening of gruesome fun.

The summer heat has final surrendered and FALL IS HERE! The St. James Bay course conditions are outstanding after a very wet and hot summer.
