Two
people were injured in a 2 vehicle accident in Wakulla County Sunday evening, one seriously.
The
accident happened just before 8 o’clock on Highway 319 at
Nichols and Sons seafood when a 2006 Chevy Cobalt rear-ended a truck towing a
boat and trailer.
According
to the Highway patrol, George Waldman of panacea was towing a boat on a trailer
and was stopped in the westbound lane of the highway waiting to turn into a
private driveway.
There
were no operational lights on the trailer, so Audrey Evans of Sopchoppy did not
see the trailer until it was too late.
She
rear ended the trailer, knocking the boat off the trailer into the street.
Mister
Waldman’s truck was pushed off the road.
Mister
Waldman received minor injuries in the crash, Miss Evans was seriously injured
and taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital .
