Two injured in Wakulla County accident on Sunday


Two people were injured in a 2 vehicle accident in Wakulla County Sunday evening, one seriously.

The accident happened just before 8 o’clock on Highway 319 at Nichols and Sons seafood when a 2006 Chevy Cobalt rear-ended a truck towing a boat and trailer.

According to the Highway patrol, George Waldman of panacea was towing a boat on a trailer and was stopped in the westbound lane of the highway waiting to turn into a private driveway.

There were no operational lights on the trailer, so Audrey Evans of Sopchoppy did not see the trailer until it was too late.

She rear ended the trailer, knocking the boat off the trailer into the street.

Mister Waldman’s truck was pushed off the road.

Mister Waldman received minor injuries in the crash, Miss Evans was seriously injured and taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
