CC Land Road widening project in early stages

A project to widen and resurface CC land in Eastpoint is now in its early stages.

CC Land road extends from the Eastpoint Fire Department to Highway 65 and is an important evacuation route out of Eastpoint. 

County commissioners on Tuesday agreed to use the Prebble Rish Engineering firm to design and engineer the project, after that’s complete the project will be bid out.

The Florida department of Transportation is funding the work up to 744 thousand dollars; anything beyond that will have to be paid by the county.

Commissioners said they will make any decisions about the project funding after they know the full costs, and that could be months away.
